Open system architecture and comprehensive interfaces

When integrating control and telecontrol systems into existing systems, the ability to link differing new and existing system components easily is essential. AutomationX takes account of this need by consistently meeting IT and IEC standards with aX RESY®.

With its IEC60870-5-10x interfaces and numerous protocol interfaces with telecontrol systems from a wide range of different manufacturers, aXmFEP is the front-end processor for aX RESY®, and thanks to the IEC60870-5-104 LAN-interface, can also be used as a front-end in SCADA systems from different manufacturers.

Asset-oriented navigation between aX RESY® and widely differing GIS platforms, as well as the display of fault locations in faulty power grids in the GIS and the use of GIS technical data for grid calculation and simulation, are basic features of aX RESY® Link. aX RESY® Info supports the linkage to company-wide databases.

Simple and timesaving engineering

With its object and template libraries, and by bequeathing subsequent changes and effective functions for mass data input and maintenance, aX RESY® provides complete object-oriented engineering that is timesaving, and consequently cost-effective. Flexible tools support the import of existing databases, and thus the efficient and secure operational transfer of those data, when upgrading existing systems with aX grid solutions.

Support software packages and applications

With aX RESY®, flexible applications are available for the automation of district heating and drinking water grids which can easily be adapted to the respective operating conditions of our customers. The aX RESY® KOS and KOG supply optimisation functions support the use of power and gas at least cost. Power grid operators receive optimum support from aX RESY®-CFL when locating faults and restoring faulty grids. aX RESY®-NSR system functions essential for the secure operation of power grids include grid analysis functions for calculating online load flow, short circuits and outages, as well as ground fault and short circuit search functions. With aX RESY®-WorkMan order management and aX RESY®-Maintenance Manager, switching operations, maintenance measures and the associated use of resources can be optimally prepared and automated.

Grid training simulator

aX RESY®-NES, the dynamic training simulator for power grids, simulates power grids while incorporating all control and asset data and protective devices and their settings. For the grid operator, this results in an improvement in both security and quality of supply, as well as greater availability due to shorter outages.  aX RESY®-NES also makes an essential contribution to the obligation to provide proof of the measures taken, operator training and the associated in-house certification of the maintenance personnel of power grid operators.
