automationX - aX4
Automation software is characterised today by the distribution of “tasks” to central computer stations, on the one hand, and (intelligent) automation devices, on the other.
The automationX operating system combines these two characteristics.
The Two Parts of the automationX Operating System
- One part (aX IT) is the basis of central application programs (plant control system, control engineering, production and quality management, material flow etc.) and runs on common computer hardware and common operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- The other part (aX device) is an operating system for automation devices and makes a virtual unified device structure available for a wide variety of physical and functional types of devices.
Both parts are optimally compatible. This interaction enables in particular the use of compact application modules (aX classes), whose different units are automatically distributed within the automationX operating system. Users can draw valuable knowledge from them and the integration effort is minimal.
The foundation of the object-oriented automationX technology is constantly developed further and optimised and is an integral part of automationX Version 5.
