The automationX hardware components for traffic control systems operate under harsh environmental conditions, both in the field and at monitoring centres. The products comply with various protocol standards (including TLS2002 and IEC 1131-2).
Serial interfaces to variable message signs
In most cases, the variable message signs and sensors are linked via serial interfaces. The hardware components in the field convert the TLS2002 signals into serial or digital input/output signals.
Central configuration – interface with traffic control computer
The traffic control computer calculates the values to be shown on overhead displays based on the data transferred by environmental measuring stations and automationX. The automationX system distributes this data to the respective displays via a central computer.
