Alerting and Logging
A series of settings are stored in addition to the alarm priorities during engineering.
These include, among others, coloured graphics or the performance of alarms when they are acknowledged. The operator is alerted to the alarms by visual and acoustic means. Accessing affected plant overview screens and the highlighting of objects are an integral part of effective alarm handling.
- Tabular graph on a separate alarm screen or in alarm boxes on the process images.
- Opening of the relevant process image and indication of the location of the object by a search arrow
- Highlighting the affected objects by frames or by icons
- Automatic generation and display of sum alarms of automation objects
- Automatic generation of topological alarms
This mainly includes group alarms or the generation of alarms for individual production sections. - Disabling of visual and/or acoustic alarm output at individual stations.
Disabling can apply to individual alarms, groups of automation objects or production sections. - Filtering and sorting functions of alarm tables
- Chronological logging of alarms in journal databases
- Enabling of instruction lists in help desk to guide the operator
