Multi-protocol front-end processor for distributed systems


aXmFEP is a modular telecontrol component, which can be used as a front-end processor on the control level as well as a telecontrol node in the telecontrol network and on the station level.

The aXmFEP meets all the requirements on state-of-the-art telecontrol communication. Its compliance with international norms and standards such as IEC60870-5 and IEC61131-3 as well as the automatic configuration of complex telecontrol networks are a special characteristic of the aXmFEP.


Connected to control systems of various manufacturers through the IEC60870-5-104 protocol, the aXmFEP takes over the coupling to different telecontrol protocols and the complete control of drinking and waste water, district heating and gas grids, too. Additional communication security between the stations is ensured by the stand-by transmission route concept as well as the automatic and dynamic configuration of the telecontrol network (“neighbour concept”) and the possibility of using the aXmFEP redundantly.
